The staff on this ward are brilliant, no complaints, all very friendly , after having a rather traumatic experience during my stay the staff did everything possible to reassure me after the event

Review of AE (Worthing) written by a family member

Reduce waiting times, my son is 1 years old and was told we could be waiting up to 4 hours!! Open up a private a&e department like they have in London Have staff members tell you the truth and not contradict what they say. When we were seen in triage for our son we were told the wait was 3 1/2 hours however she would get a doctor to see us within the hour. When the hour passed and my partner queried this the nurse denied saying it! Not great comms

I was seen yesterday at the West Sussex Breast Care Centre by Mr M Ostrowski. The appointment was on time and the consultant was warm, friendly, kind and caring and listened to my problems in a sympathetic way. He explained clearly and showed me diagrams of why certain pains were occuring. When asked about my current medication he came up with constructive observations and was very helpful in advising about future usage. I felt valued. He also made further recommendations regarding measuring and being fitted for new bras.

From the moment I entered the Chactonbury Suite the operation staff, recovery staff and discharges staff were the most attentive nurses and doctors and I cannot thank them enough. I feel very lucky to have been treated in such a wonderful NHS hospital as Worthing

Review of AE (Worthing) written by a carer

Despite the aggressive NHS cuts and privatisation ideology of Jeremy Hunt and the Tories, the staff at Worthing A&E took very good care of my daughter whom I brought in with a wrist fracture. While the dept’ was busy we were not kept waiting for too long and each member of staff we came into contact with from reception, through triage and onto doctors and X-ray dept were patient, reassuring professional and kind. Thank you all very much and I sincerely hope that the NHS gets the funding it deserves. All of the staff within the NHS do not get the credit you richly deserve.
